As I already mentioned, I’m not a big fan of touristy places since they’re normally over-priced and over-crowded.
However, beside Pedrera and Sagrada Familia, there’s a third incredible building by our known Gaudì: Casa Batlló.
This amazing mix of colours and modern lines can be admired in Passeig de Gracia, 43 (not far from where the Pedrera is).
Already from outside it’s eye-capturing and breath-taking.
Since I prioritized visiting Pedrera and Sagrada Familia in those months, I haven’t gone inside yet, however they told me it’s worth going.
Since then, you can see already a lot just by walking in front of it.
And each time you do that, you will still stop for a few minutes just to admire this amazing building.
For further information about prices, visting hours and to buy tickets in order to skip queues, go to Batlló’s official website: https://www.casabatllo.es/
*Just recently I discovered that if from where you are in Passeig de Gracia, you walk into the huge road you see on the side (Carrer d’Aragò), you can see the other external side of Casa Batlló, just by entering in the big shop you will encounter. A sign outside the shop will help you understand, it is the right one.
The shop itself provides you with a huge range of materials for any necessities. I, as a designer found it awesome and affordable. Beside having whatever you need for the office and any material for anything, it has also a variety of things to decor your gardens.
In fact, if you go to the last floor, you will be able to exit the shop and end up in what I felt it could be a beautiful Japanes Garden corner.
Once you exit the shop, you can buy anything you want. There are many useful things even at 1-3€, so that she shops’ security doesn’t annoy once you exit.
Meanwhile I leave you with this amazing video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7pPXEG26zQ
Hope that I’ve been helpful and that you have a great time.
