One of the best aspects of Barcelona, is the fresh air you can constantly breath and that make the very hot days a bit more bearable.
This plus the amount of green areas, make the city almost a big botanic garden splitted into zones.
The parks are not only a nice place where to rest, but also areas of entertainment with several street artists performing, and somewhere where to bring our beloved dogs to have some fun and a good walk.
Park Güell is also this, beside being a proof of Gaudì’s work.
His terrace and few buildings (which became museums), are worth spending the 7€ ticket.

Also, the view you can admire from this spot is breath-taking.
Once you exit Vallcarca Metro Station, you will soon find the escalators that will help you reach the top without dying. Even my mother who’s over 60 managed to do it without too much of an effort.
At the top of those escalators, just before entering in the park, there’s a lovely bar where your pets are welcome and which displays an awesome wall where you can write whatever you feel like.
They also have very convenient prices, and good sandwiches.
*Unfortunately dogs aren’t alloweded in the paid-visiting area.
You can still walk/run throughout the whole park without spending the ticket money or having to leave home your pets.
